Over 300+ kids, Dads, Moms, and cape crusaders shall descend upon the Vera Katz Eastbank Esplanade on Sunday July 15th, 2012 at the first annual Superhero Fun Run benefiting OMHOF.org for music education in Oregon schools. Brought to you by a partnership of Terry Currier, President of OMHOF.org, and Stumptown Events.
Don your capes and masks and join the fun! Registration is just $10 – kids 9 and under are FREE!

9:00 AM – Kids 2K Fun Walk or Run Starts – Goes East to West
9:15 AM – 5K Superhero Race Starts – Goes West to East
9:30 AM – 2K Superhero Race Starts – Goes West to East
11:00 AM After Race / Walk Party Blitz Ladd 2239 SE 11th Ave. Portland, OR 97214 (Awards & Prizes) Kid Friendly & Games.
PDX Kids Calendar will be there with fun activities for kids including:
- Fun photobooth where you can fly, leap, play and get goofy for the camera!
- Make your own Superhero Cuffs! Children can use natural and recycled items – corks, bottle caps, shells, bark – to print their own personal superhero emblems on bracelets to wear during the run. Activity brought to you by Wildwood Nature School
- Make your own Superhero Masks! The world always needs a superhero’s to help save the day. Brought to you by Adventure WILD Day Camp
Come on down and meet the Cloud City Garrison of the 501st Legion and Kashyyk Base of the Rebel Legion, as they are supported by Lucasfilm and a preferred costuming group. Also meet Batman, Red Power Ranger, Captain America, etc. A rep from Warner Bros. studio giving out a grand prize, along with 100’s of comic book prizes and other great donations.
