Portland-Area Pumpkin Patches

20121025 1 6572 1

The metro area loves a good celebration and fall harvest and Halloween provide great reasons to whoop it up. We’ve gathered some of our favorite farms – they all have pumpkin patches (or at least pumpkins available) – plus other fun things for kids. Most are open through Oct. 31, unless otherwise noted. Some of the haunted mazes can be too frightening for little ones – so use caution. But, however you carve it up, it all adds up to big treats for fall.

Just came back from Lee Farms…the greatest! We had a blast with our almost 4 yr old granddaughter. Lots of fun activities and good hotdogs, food reasonably priced. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful-hope we can make it back this season.

Thanks for the feedback! Very useful ~Tabitha

This is a weird question but – any suggestions on the best pumpkin patch to visit if its raining…?

    • PDXTabitha

We aren’t sure which are the best for rainy days — most are on farms so good muddy fun! We have been to Sauvie Island, Krugers and the Pumpkin Patch in the rain and had fun … but always bring extra clothes! We did also post to FB to ask the community but not getting many responses!

Bushue’s Family Farm is great in the rain. We had a blast there Sat morning when it rained a bit. Completely covered area for kids to play in the kids activity area that includes many toys, ride on cars, hay tunnel, hay tower & a huge slide. Also covered area to make dirt babies! You could also bring a lunch, they have a big covered area with picnic tables. Their hay ride is also covered so no wet rides or wet hay to sit on. They have tents set up over their specialty pumpkins and flowers that are for sell. Snacks and apples sold as well. Farm animals and many photo ops available at this fun farm. Our family had so much fun here!

There’s a pop up shop type pumpkin patch off of SE Powell near the intersection at hwy 205. There are pumpkins and pony rides and more I believe.

    • PDXTabitha

      Thanks – we’ll add!
