Cost: First visit is free; $5 for each visit thereafter

New Seasons on NE 33rd offers a weekly breastfeeding support group.
Where: New Seasons, NE 33rd and Killingsworth
When: Wednesdays, 10 – 11:30 AM
Cost: Free!

Andaluz Waterbirth Center offers a monthly prenatal breastfeeding class
Where: 3323 SW Naito
When: Usually the first Friday of the month.  Check their calendar for current times.

La Leche League. is another great resource for breastfeeding help. Located in several areas; please call or visit the website for the location best for you.

And Nursing Mothers Counsel offers classes across town in addition to free telephone consultations for breastfeeding questions. (I’ve used them and they are fantastic.) The number is 503 282 3338.

If you had a hospital birth, you should also check to see if the hospital has lactation consultants on staff.  Often they are available to consult for free, and may even make house visits.
