Q. What do you like to do on sunny days in PDX?
A. Now that the weather’s drying up and the temperature is getting warmer, we enjoy taking Weston on walks in the park. We especially enjoy going to Laurelhurst Park and The Grotto.

Q. What do you like to do on rainy days in PDX?
A. On rainy days, we like hanging out at the house with our son and watching all his new developments. I also like introducing him to new toys and music while he’s kicking around in his crib.

Q. How do you balance being a dad with other priorities (work, hobbies, etc)?
A. Balancing work and home life can be challenging at times. However, I am very fortunate that since I do work at our family business, I can bring Weston along with me. I even have a playpen set up in my office for Weston. My wife is currently on maternity leave, so a few times a week she and Weston hang out with me at work. When Weston and my wife are at home, they give me something to look forward to after a long day at work.

Q. What’s your favorite story/memory of being with your kid(s)?
A. My favorite memory of Weston is when he first recognized my face and smiled. It first happened when he was five weeks old as I laid him down on his changing table and he made eye contact with me and gave me a big smile. I’ll never forget that face!
