Messy Monkeys at 100th Monkey Studio

Drop-in Art, play & relax while enjoying a warm beverage, socializing with other families & making art! The studio will provide multiple sensory art stations for your child to explore and grow in their art process. Whether it is the first time they have ever touched paint to the 4th year they have been doing art we have projects and medias for all artists!  For ages 1-5.  Registration required.

May 4: Bugs and Butterflies
Glue spots on ladybugs and make finger-painted (and, if you dare, footprint) butterflies!

May 11: Flowers and Trees
Scrunch tissue paper blossoms, make a garden of cupcake-liner flowers, and paint with pine needles.

May 18: Down on the Farm
Feathers and glue, Plastic eggs and play-dough, wooly sheep collages and cow spot painting. Phew!

May 25: Chalk
Dry chalk, wet chalk, sugar chalk, and chalk paint! Take home recipes and explore many ways to play with this springtime favorite

June 1: Little Foodies
June is dining month in Portland! While you find discounts and specials at local eateries, come on down to make a paper-plate pizzas, felt sushi, and play-dough cupcakes with your little guy or gal.

June 8: Nature Art
Make a sticky paper collage with natural materials, explore flower petals with a magnifying glass, and do some printmaking with leaves and pine cones.

June 15: Bubbles
Mix a bubble solution and explore bubbles with homemade bubble wands, special bubble blowers, and painting bubble shapes with watercolor.

June 22: Light and Sun
Happy summer! Today we'll make sun catchers and bright, glittery artwork.
