Product Review: TK Jewelry Designs

You all may not know that Tabitha of PDX Kids Calendar is also Tabitha of TK Jewelry Designs. Yes, as if you needed further proof, she is a very talented and busy mom! Tabitha started making jewelry in 2002 as a way to burn some creative energy. She soon found that not only did she take great joy in it, but she also had a talent for it. TK Jewelry Designs was born.

Tabitha makes beautiful beaded necklaces, earrings, and bridal jewelry. The item I most had my eye on, however, was a customizable glass pendant, into which you could put – well, anything! When Tabitha offered to give me a necklace, I of course said yes. Here is the finished product:

Although I obviously went for a picture of my baby, you could also get a picture of your child’s artwork, or a sweet note, or really anything that you can take a picture of.

The back of the pendant (your choice of square or round) is black velvet. I was lucky enough to get a square and a round. I put the square one on my key chain. And although I was warned it might break since it is made of glass, so far so good.



(Yes, that is Grumpy Bear on my key chain.  What about it.) As a side note – while I was trying to get Grady to pose with the necklace (didn’t happen), I did find another unintended use of the necklace as a cat toy!
